Randolph Wins Safety Award From Morris Co. Fund, Doubles Last Year's Prize

RANDOLPH, NJ — Randolph Township has received the 2025 Safety Award from the Morris County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund, along with a $1,000 cash prize — double the $500 award the township received last year.

The MCMJIF annually recognizes municipalities that excel in risk management and implement effective strategies to reduce workplace hazards. Randolph's selection was driven in part by its consistently low lost-time accident frequency rates, which significantly outperform the fund's three-year averages.

"Our employees' safety is at the center of everything we do," said Mayor Mark Forstenhausler. "This award demonstrates the dedication of our staff and administration, whose daily commitment to best practices, training, and accountability has created a workplace environment where safety thrives."

The award reflects the township's ongoing efforts to reduce risks, strengthen training programs, and build a workplace culture where safety is a shared priority.
