Artist Talk - The New Botanical

These artists reimagine botanical art. Suzan Globus pounds flowers onto unprimed canvas; Daniel Sroka photographs seeds and pods small enough to hold in your hand; Gao Yuan turns her photographs into sculpture; and Kevin Hinkle and Ellen Martin create fused images of decaying flowers.

On Thursday, June 18, at 6:00 p.m., they will discuss what inspired them to push beyond the expectations of this venerable genre. Curator Ellen Martin will discuss her vision for the exhibition.

This event is free and open to all. The exhibition runs through June 30, 2026, and all works are available for purchase directly from the artists.
