Festivals, Jazz Fest, Parade: This Weekend In Monmouth County

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The weekend has officially arrived.

As the summer season continues, there are plenty of events to check out along the Jersey Shore.

Whether you’re looking to take part in a 5K, try some new food and drinks, listen to live music, or celebrate the arts, here are seven local events you can check out this weekend:

The Beer Run 5K

• Date: Saturday
• Location: The Historic Village at Allaire (4265 Atlantic Avenue, Farmingdale)
• Details: Join the Historic Village at Allaire for the Beer Run 5K, where you can run (or walk) a 5K through the historic 1800s village and natural trails to cross the finish line into a craft beer festival. Tickets/registration required.

Taste of Highlands

• Date: Saturday
• Location: Check-in at Huddy Park (Bay & Waterwitch Avenues)
• Details: Join the Highlands Business Partnership for Taste of Highlands, where you can participate in five hours of sampling and cocktails at Highlands restaurants and establishments. Tickets required.

Asbury Park Beer, Wine & Spirits Fest

• Date: Saturday
• Location: Bradley Park (101-199 Fifth Avenue, Asbury Park)
• Details: Enjoy beer, wine and spirits samples alongside live entertainment, food and games at the Asbury Park Beer, Wine & Spirits Fest. Tickets required.

Classic Car Show & Oldies Day

• Date: Sunday
• Location: Monmouth Park (Oceanport Avenue, Oceanport)
• Details: Check out 120 antique cars, entertainment and more at the Classic Car Show & Oldies Day. Tickets required.

Red Bank Arts Festival

• Date: Sunday
• Location: Monmouth Street (Red Bank)
• Details: Celebrate performance, literary and visual arts at the Red Bank Arts Festival, featuring live music, a juried art show and more.

Asbury Park Jazz Fest

• Date: Sunday
• Location: Sunset Park (1305 Main Street, Asbury Park)
• Details: Enjoy a free, full-day concert from noon to 8 p.m., celebrating jazz with food and craft vendors.

America’s Big Birthday Parade

• Date: Sunday
• Location: Middletown
• Details: Join America’s Big Birthday Parade: Red, White & You as it steps off in Middletown on the anniversary of the Battle of Monmouth. Following the parade, attendees can head to Mater Dei Park for a free family festival.
