RED BANK, NJ — Calling all comic book fans – Kevin Smith is set to visit Red Bank for a special signing event this spring.

On Saturday, April 4, Smith will be at Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash from 12-3:30 p.m. for the signing event.

The line will start at 12 p.m. outside of Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash on Broad Street, officials said.

Guests pay $37 to have Smith sign copies of his DC comic “Bizarro: Year None #1” (featuring an exclusive Secret Stash cover by John Sprengelmeyer) and a copy of the new “Quick Stops Volume 3” hardcover.

The $37 entry fee will pay for the comic and hardcover plus signatures, officials said.

Though entry to the event gets you a comic and a hardcover for Smith to sign, guests can also have Smith sign up to three additional items brought to the store (or bought at the store) for the same price of $37.

“We are committed to helping as many people as possible access the signing, so please, please, please for the love of Buddy, do NOT beg, plead, or try to cajole your way to getting more than five total items signed,” store officials said on their website. “Including the two books you'll buy on your way in.”

Shopping hours the day of the signing event are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and again from the time the event ends until 8 p.m.

Depending on how many people attend the signing, officials said the Stash may accommodate shopping during the hours that Smith is signing.

The signing is a first-come, first-served event. Not everyone who comes and gets in line is guaranteed access to the signing.

Throughout his career, he's worked as a producer, actor, writer and director on various projects.
