Doctor And Cancer Researcher From Ridgewood Dies
Services will be held this week for a doctor who helped found a non-profit in Ridgewood.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Services are planned this week for Dr. John P. Mandeli of Ridgewood, who died Tuesday at 74.
According to his obituary, he was a professor at Mount Sinai's school of medicine who analyzed cancer clinical trials. He also helped found Life Opportunities Unlimited, a Ridgewood-based non-profit program that helps adults with developmental disabilities be prepared for the future.
