Elmwood Park Man Sexually Assaulted Child, Prosecutors Say

The assault took place in Elmwood Park, Bergen County prosecutors said.

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ —An Elmwood Park man was arrested on Wednesday for sexually assaulting a child, prosecutors said.

Nicholas Fedorisin, 63, of Elmwood Park was charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

A report in the Record identified him as an official in that town.

Prosecutors said that on Sunday, the Elmwood Park Police Department contacted prosecutors regarding an alleged sexual assault.

Investigators determined that Fedorisin engaged in sexual conduct with the child in Elmwood Park on one or more occasions between 2021 and 2025, prosecutors said.

He was charged with second-degree sexual assault, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact.

He was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
