Floods Trap Drivers, Close Roads In Bergen County As More Thunderstorms Loom
A thunderstorm caused flash floods and fires in Bergen County, with more rain on the way.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — After severe thunderstorms swept through northern Bergen County on Monday night, a train line was suspended, roads were closed, and fires burned in Wyckoff and Ridgewood.
Up to five more inches of rain are expected in Bergen County on Tuesday.
On Monday night, downed wires and a fire in Wyckoff closed lanes of Route 206.

Firefighters also fought a blaze in Ridgewood. Officials confirmed for Patch Tuesday that the two-alarm blaze was believed to have been caused by a lightning strike.
