Freeze Warning And Frost Advisory Issued For Bergen County: See When, Why

A freeze warning and frost advisory have been issued for Bergen County. See what this means.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — As Bergen County residents prepare for the workweek, both a freeze warning and frost advisory have been issued for the area.

Forecasters say temperatures may drop into the 40s and 30s on Monday and Tuesday. Northern areas like Mahwah may see a temperature as low as 27.

The National Weather Service said:

  • For the frost advisory (midnight to 8 a.m. Monday), temperatures in the mid 30s will result in frost formation.
  • For the freeze warning (midnight to 9 a.m. on Tuesday), sub-freezing temperatures from the mid 20s to lower 30s are expected.
  • Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
