Beloved 80-Year-Old Deli Opens Location In Ridgewood

The Jersey-based sandwich and pastry shop has opened its first Bergen County location.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — An expanding group of North Jersey-based delis has added a Ridgewood location.

Millburn Deli — which has four locations besides Millburn — opened a spot on Ridgewood on Saturday.

They offered sandwiches to the first 100 customers that day, and in true deli fashion, their sandwiches tend to be large and piled with meats and cheeses.

The deli menu offers up goodies such as:

  • Godfadda: $14.95 Hand breaded chicken cutlet, smoked bacon, sliced mozzarella, and house Russian dressing on a fresh Calandra’s sub roll, pressed to order.
  • Mediterranean salad: $13.95 Spring and romaine greens, feta cheese, chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, chopped egg, and red wine vinaigrette

They also offer limited edition sandwiches. Their menu specifically notes that some items are available in Millburn only.

Since being founded in 1946, the deli has expanded to Montclair, Morristown, Bridgewater and Westfield.

The Millburn location is in that town's downtown area, walkable from the train station and the famed Fairy Trail at the South Mountain Reservation.
