Ridgewood Offices To Close Thursday And Monday: Here's Why

Ridgewood's offices will be closed one day this week and one next week, and some services suspended.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Village of Ridgewood is celebrating the presidents' birthdays the old fashioned way — on their actual birthdays. Well, sort of.

Village offices, except emergency services, will be closed this Thursday for Abraham Lincoln's birthday.

Village offices will also close this Monday for Presidents' Day.

George Washington's birthday is Feb. 22, but it has been celebrated on President's Day since 1879. President's Day traditionally falls on the third Monday in February.

There will be no garbage or recycling collection in Ridgewood on either day, and the Recycling Center will be closed.
