NJ State Aid: See How Much Rumson & Fair Haven Schools Will Get

RUMSON-FAIR HAVEN, NJ — Governor Mikie Sherrill's proposed budget for 2026-27 includes a record $12.4 billion in aid to the state's 574 public school districts, including ones in Rumson and Fair Haven.

On Thursday, the NJ Department of Education released its aid figures for each school district across the state.

Similar to the 2025-26 school year, most aid increases were capped at 6%, with the majority of aid cuts capped at 3%.

In Rumson and Fair Haven, some school districts will be seeing a rise in funding, while others are facing cuts.

Rumson School District

  • Will see $1,153,146 in state aid
    • A $35,664 (or -3%) decrease from 2025-26

Fair Haven Public School District

  • Will see $1,159,750 in state aid
    • A $35,869 (or -3%) decrease from 2025-26

Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School District

  • Will see $1,444,602 in state aid
    • A $68,124 (or 5%) increase from 2025-26
