SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A fire damaged the garage of a Scotch Plains home earlier this week, according to police. The fire broke out June 21 on Fenimore Drive. Police said the fire stayed contained to the garage and did not spread into the rest of the home. No injuries were reported. Firefighters from Scotch Plains, Fanwood, and Westfield responded to the scene and worked to put out the fire. Information on the cause of the fire has not been released.
