Millburn, NJ — June 2026 — Mt. Zion AME Church in Millburn, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Eyesha K. Marable, MFA, is proud to join the Township of Millburn and Black Americans of Millburn Short Hills (BAMS) as a key partner for the 2026 Millburn Juneteenth Celebration, taking place Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 3:00–4:30 PM at Bauer Center, 100 Main Street.

This year’s celebration honors the spirit of freedom through service, music, education, and community unity, with a special township‑wide initiative inspired by agricultural scientist and inventor George Washington Carver. Together, the partners aim to collect 1,000 jars of peanut butter to support families facing food insecurity through the Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges.

Live Music Featuring the Jarrett Walser Trio

The celebration will feature a dynamic jazz performance by the Jarrett Walser Trio. Jarrett Walser is a New Jersey–based drummer and a rising voice in the region’s jazz and creative‑music scene. Walser has performed with acclaimed ensembles across the tri‑state area and leads his own trio, blending jazz tradition with modern expression.
