Shoplifter Flees Scene, Caught In Summit, Police Say
The incident involved merchandise taken from a Morris Turnpike business, according to police.
SUMMIT, NJ — A shoplifting incident at a Morris Turnpike business led to an arrest in Summit, according to police.
On June 15, officers responded after a suspect fled the scene on foot following the incident, according to police.
Police said an individual matching the suspect’s description was later located on Broad Street in Summit.

The suspect, a 49-year-old Summit man, was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. Police said merchandise valued at $90.44 was recovered and returned to the business.
