Teaneck Volunteers Needed For Town-Wide Cleanup
Residents can sign up now for the Oct. 3 community cleanup day, with supplies and transportation provided by the township.
TEANECK, NJ — Teaneck is looking for residents willing to lend a hand and roll up their sleeves during a town-wide cleanup coming up next month.
The Teaneck Environmental Commission and Department of Public Works will organize the cleanup Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon at several locations selected by the Department of Public Works.
“This is a great community service activity for students, Teaneck sports team players and Scouts,” the township said in announcing the event.

Participants should arrive at the Rodda Center at 9:45 a.m. Township staff will transport volunteers to and from their designated cleanup locations, according to the announcement.
The department will provide gloves, buckets, pickers and bags, while Environmental Commission members will be available at each location to help.

The event is limited to Teaneck residents, and children younger than 16 must bring an adult. Refreshments will be served when volunteers return to the Rodda Center.
