ICE Arrests 2 People In Wall Township, Authorities Say

WALL, NJ — Two people were arrested by U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Wall Township on Friday, an ICE spokesperson told Patch.

On Friday, ICE completed an enforcement operation in the area of Route 35 and 18th Avenue.

During this operation, two people who were unlawfully present in the U.S. were arrested, the spokesperson said.

According to ICE, one of the people re-entered the United States after being removed in 2009, and the other person was released into the country by the Biden Administration.

ICE did not release the identities of either person arrested.

Both will remain in ICE custody pending removal or removal proceedings from the United States.

"Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, ICE is targeting the worst of the worst," the agency said. "Nearly 70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S.,"

Though ICE said that nearly 70% of their arrests are of people charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S., the data research organization Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse reported in April that out of 60,311 people held in ICE detention across the nation, about 70.8 percent had no criminal conviction before being apprehended – and many of those who do were convicted only of minor offenses such as traffic violations.

In May, a data analysis from NJ Advance Media also found that more than three in four people detained in the state since January 2025 had no criminal record, Patch previously reported.

"Our message is clear: if you come into our country illegally and break our laws, we will find you, we will arrest you, and we will deport you," the spokesperson said.

Wall Police were not notified in advance of the enforcement operation and were not involved in its planning or execution, the police department said.

Once they were made aware of the operation, Wall Police responded to the area to maintain public safety and ensure the safe flow of traffic.
