Warren Labor Day 5K Is Off And Running

WARREN, NJ — Warren residents can start Labor Day weekend on the right foot (or the left) during a 5K celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

The Warren Labor Day 5K begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 5, at the Watchung Hills Pop Warner Complex, 101 Old Stirling Road. Runners and walkers of all ages will follow a course through East County Reserve, according to the township.

Age-group winners will receive medals, but the morning is not only about finishing times. The event supports community wellness while giving families, friends and neighbors a way to mark the nation’s semiquincentennial close to home.

Registration costs $35 per person and $15 for participants 13 and younger. Parking will be available at the complex and at the middle school across the street.

Whether participants race for a medal or walk the course together, everyone can join the celebration at their own pace. Registration is available online.
