Warren Wind Advisory Begins As Nor’easter Nears

WARREN, NJ — With a Nor’easter approaching, Warren residents have until Friday evening to secure outdoor objects before a wind advisory takes effect.

A National Weather Service wind advisory takes effect at 6 p.m. Friday and runs until 6 a.m. Sunday. The advisory comes as a Nor’easter moves through the region this weekend, according to the weather service.

North winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected, with gusts up to 45 mph. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the advisory says. The weather service also warns that driving could be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.

The forecast for Warren calls for a chance of rain late Friday night, followed by rain Saturday and Sunday. Residents heading out this weekend can check the forecast for updates as conditions change.
