WATCHUNG, NJ — The Watchung area continues its recovery efforts after the weekend storm damage caused by fallen trees, downed power lines and electrical equipment.

Power outages were affecting Winter Lane (39 customers), Parlin Lane (59), Ridge Road (35), Brook Drive (17), and Wetumpka (4).

Multiple utility crews are working throughout Watchung, with additional personnel arriving from across the Northeast and Canada to assist in restoration efforts.
Crews are first removing fallen trees before repairing damaged poles and power lines in an effort to restore service as quickly as possible.

Officials said emergency response teams, including the borough's police, fire, rescue, and public works departments, responded immediately following the storm.
