Neighbor Saves Man From Burning Wayne Home: Reports

An off-duty fireman sprang into action to rescue his neighbor, according to one report.

WAYNE, NJ — A quick-thinking neighbor saved a person’s life in Wayne this week after pulling him from a house fire, according to reports.

A NJ.com report says on Tuesday, around 5:45 p.m., a fire broke out at a residence on Brookwood Drive in Wayne.

Neighbor and off-duty firefighter Alex Fuentes sprang into action and entered the home, pulling out an “elderly” resident, according to TAPinto Wayne.

The house fire victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and has stabilized, according to reports.

The fire was soon extinguished, and no other injuries were reported.
