Passaic Co. Arms, Drug Dealer Sentenced After Undercover Sting

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A Passaic County man who admitted to trafficking guns and drug possession learned his fate in court last week.

Tony “Red” Crowe, 33, of Paterson, has been sentenced to 76 months in prison, or just over six years, for his role in illicit drug and firearm sales, officials announced.

The sentencing comes after an undercover investigation in Paterson. According to officials, an undercover law enforcement agent bought several guns, including an AR- and AK-style rifles, as well as multiple kilograms of fentanyl from Crowe.

Officials said Crowe made thousands of dollars through these illicit sales.

In addition to his prison sentence, Crowe will be subject to three years of supervised release when he gets out.

The takedown was part of both the Project Safe Neighborhoods, a federal initiative to bring together all levels of law enforcement and their communities, and the Paterson Violent Crime Initiative.
