$100,000 in Scholarships Available to New Jersey Nursing Students

Dr. Maureen Sullivan Foley Memorial Scholarship opportunities to be awarded by the New Jersey League for Nursing (NJLN). Apply Today!

(Susan Chandler)

The New Jersey League for Nursing (NJLN) is accepting application submissions for the $100,000, 2026 Dr. Maureen Sullivan Foley Memorial Scholarship Awards. These substantial nursing scholarship awards are made possible through the generosity of the Community Health Connections Foundation (CHCF), Inc., a not‑for‑profit grantmaking private foundation, and are administered through the NJLN Scholarship Program.

These awards honor the legacy of Dr. Maureen Sullivan Foley, a distinguished New Jersey nurse leader, Past-President of the NJLN, and former President and CEO of the Bayonne Visiting Nurses Association (BVNA) for more than 48 years. The sale of the BVNA generated the initial funding that enabled the visionary BVNA and CHCF Boards, including Dr. Sullivan Foley, to establish the CHCF. The NJLN is proud to partner with the CHCF to promote excellence in nursing education while memorializing an extraordinary nurse leader.

These scholarship awards support New Jersey nurses who are pursuing their education with the intent to practice in the state, making a meaningful impact on healthcare and the communities they serve.
