‘Cultivate Inner Peace’ At West Orange Buddhist Monastery Event

Empty Cloud Monastery will be hosting an international convention centered on cultivating inner peace amid the strife of the modern world. All are welcome, Buddhist or otherwise, to participate in this non-sectarian event promoting the practice of mindfulness and compassion for more peace and harmony in today’s times. The convention will be held outdoors over the weekend of July 18 to July 19, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 29 Ridgeway Avenue in West Orange. There is no cost to attend. Bring your own lunch with a picnic blanket and sitting cushions to enjoy the grounds.

The program is full of time-relevant panel discussions, individual talks, and breakout groups featuring a plethora of renowned Buddhist speakers from around the world. The main panels and talks will also be hosted online for those unable to attend in person. The Metta Convention USA is a collaboration between the two non-profit organizations Buddhist Insights Meditation, Inc. of New Jersey, USA and Metta Centre, Inc. of Sydney, Australia. Both non-profit organizations specialize in connecting people with monastics and offering free access to Buddhist teachings for the benefit of all sentient beings.
