West Orange Honors National Senior Citizens Day

Dozens of local seniors enjoyed a morning of fellowship – and a continental breakfast with some jazz.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Department of Senior Services recently hosted an appreciation breakfast in celebration of National Senior Citizens Day.

The day of recognition was created to thank seniors for their contributions and to support independence and dignity for older adults.

More than 50 local seniors were in attendance to enjoy a morning of fellowship and a continental breakfast at the Rock Spring Golf Club. Guests were treated to a jazz performance by Jacque Johnson and band, as well as raffles and prizes provided by Excelsior Care Group.
