Troop 2 has maintained an active presence in West Orange, contributing thousands of volunteer hours to local initiatives such as park cleanups, food drives other and service projects.

“We are incredibly proud to celebrate 110 years of Scouting tradition,” said Timothy Brennan, Scoutmaster of Troop 2.

“Every week, we see young men grow in confidence, develop leadership skills and learn the importance of service to others,” Brennan said. “This troop has weathered world wars, economic challenges, and social change, but our mission has remained constant: to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes.”

Gregory Clayton, committee chair of Troop 2, said reaching 110 years is a testament to the dedicated volunteers, supportive families and enthusiastic Scouts who have kept the troop thriving through the decades.

“We're not just celebrating our past—we're energized about our future,” Clayton said. “The skills we teach—leadership, citizenship, outdoor competency, and personal fitness—are more relevant than ever.”
