Woodbridge Will Mourn 9/11 In A Different Way This Year

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — This year, because it is the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Woodbridge will do something different to mark the solemn memorial:

Woodbridge Township will host a quarter-mile remembrance walk. This is to honor and remember the nine Woodbridge residents who were killed in the terrorist attacks, and all 2,977 people who were killed the day.

All are welcome to join the walk, which will be led by Mayor John McCormac, other town officials and Council members and religious leaders in town.

The walk begins at 9:59 a.m., the moment that the World Trade Center’s south tower collapsed, at Inman and Wood avenues.

It will finish at the Colonia Fire Dept., 250 Inman Avenue, where memorial and prayer services will be held. Learn more here: twp.woodbridge.nj.us/m/newsflash/home/detail/1090

Tonyell McDay: Computer technician at Marsh Technologies

Narender Nath: Marsh & McLennan employee
Sankara Velamuri: Employee with the NY Dept. of Taxation & Finance
