100 Black Men of Eastern New York Launches Membership Campaign to Expand Mentoring & Educational Programs

The 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a chartered chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc.

New York, NY — March 21, 2026 — The 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc., a leading African American nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring, education, health and wellness, and economic empowerment, has officially launched its 2026 Membership Campaign, calling on professional men across Eastern New York to join the organization’s mission of service, leadership, and community development.

The 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a chartered chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc., one of the nation’s most respected African American-led mentoring organizations.

The chapter serves Eastern New York, including Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau, Suffolk, and Richmond counties, and around the Bronx waters providing programs designed to improve the quality of life in underserved communities.

Mission of the 100

The mission of the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. is to serve the African American community in the areas of education, health and wellness, advocacy, mentoring, community development, leadership development, and economic empowerment.

The organization operates under the national 100 Black Men of America framework known as “Four For The Future,”® which focuses on Mentoring, Education, Health & Wellness, and Economic Empowerment.

Membership Campaign

The membership campaign is designed to recruit professional men from diverse industries including business, education, government, healthcare, finance, entrepreneurship, and the trades who are committed to mentoring and community leadership. Membership in the organization is described as more than affiliation it is a commitment to lead, mentor, and serve the next generation.

Programs and Activities

Since its founding, the chapter has been actively engaged in mentoring programs, leadership development initiatives, economic empowerment programs, health awareness initiatives, and community service activities throughout Eastern New York. The organization has mentored young men, partnered with schools and community organizations, supported entrepreneurs, and hosted community programs and networking events focused on leadership and economic development.

Recent initiatives and activities have included mentoring programs, health and wellness education programs, networking and leadership development events, and community partnerships focused on strengthening families and communities across Long Island and New York City.

Partnerships

The 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. regularly partners with community organizations, schools, chambers of commerce, nonprofit organizations, and civic leaders to expand opportunities and resources for the communities it serves.

These partnerships help deliver mentoring, education programs, business development initiatives, and community events throughout the region.

Brief Bio – President Phil Andrews

Phil Andrews is the Founding President of the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. and a well-known regional civic and business leader.

He also serves as President of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce and has been widely recognized for his work in small business advocacy, mentoring, and economic development.

Under his leadership, the organization has expanded its mentoring, leadership, and economic empowerment programs throughout New York.

Call to Action

The organization is encouraging professionals who believe in mentorship, leadership, and community service to consider becoming members and helping expand the organization’s impact across Eastern New York.

“Membership in the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York is about leadership, service, and building a legacy,” the organization said in its membership announcement. “The next chapter of our work will be written by those who step forward to mentor and lead.”
