New York, New York — At a time when economic inequity continues to challenge communities across the region, 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. is taking a comprehensive, solutions-driven approach to strengthening individuals, families, and neighborhoods through its core mission of economic empowerment.
Mentoring is one of the most important pillars of 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. and mentoring is needed across the four pillars of service.

Today we are sharing the need to empower future generation in the area of Economic Empowerment through mentoring. Although, Economic Empowerment is one of four foundational pillars guiding the organization’s work, alongside education, mentoring, and health and wellness. Together, these pillars form a holistic framework designed not only to address immediate needs, but to create sustainable, generational change.

“Economic empowerment is about equipping people with the knowledge, confidence, and access they need to build stability and opportunity,” said a representative of the organization. “When individuals understand how to navigate financial systems, pursue entrepreneurship, and prepare for meaningful careers, the impact extends far beyond the individual.”
Building Financial Knowledge and Economic Access: Through targeted initiatives in financial literacy, workforce development, and entrepreneurship, the organization focuses on helping participants develop practical skills that translate into real-world outcomes.

These efforts include exposure to budgeting and credit education, pathways to employment and career advancement, and opportunities to connect with business leaders and professionals who understand the importance of economic self-determination.

By fostering access to resources and networks that are often out of reach, the organization helps participants envision and pursue futures rooted in ownership, stability, and growth.
