The Recognition Ceremony to Take Place March 7 at Hofstra University Student Center, Hempstead, New York. The International Women’s Day Conference 2026, one of the region’s most anticipated annual gatherings celebrating women’s leadership, equity, and impact, will honor five distinguished leaders during a special Award Recognition Ceremony from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Student Center at Hofstra University.
The conference, running from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., brings together changemakers, entrepreneurs, advocates, educators, and allies for a full day of keynote addresses, panel discussions, networking, and celebration centered on advancing women’s leadership locally and globally. The awards recognition ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- Phil Andrews – Champion for Small Business and Community Leadership, recognized for his sustained commitment to economic empowerment and community advancement.
- Patrick Maitland – Founder and Publisher, StreetHype Newspaper, honored for his steadfast support of the International Women’s Day Conference and advocacy for women’s leadership through media and civic engagement.
- Wilma Holmes Tootle – Recognized for her dedicated service to empowering women through the NCBW 100 Long Island Chapter, Inc., and her long-standing leadership in advancing women of color.
- Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Asse – Global Peace Ambassador, Senior Interfaith Representative, and Spiritual Advisor, honored for his international advocacy and work with 1000 Shades of Women Foundation International.
- Rosemarie Kluepfel – President, NY6 Blue Star Moms of Suffolk County, recognized for her unwavering service and advocacy on behalf of veterans and military families.
