ICYMI: New York City Minority Small Business Chamber of Commerce, Inc. Announces Soft Launch Set for 9.1.2026

NEW YORK CITY, NY – In case you missed it, the New York City Minority Small Business Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (NYCMSBCC) has officially announced that its soft launch event will take place on September 1, 2026, at Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse (9250 59th Ave, Elmhurst, NY 11373). Running from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., this high-end networking experience serves as the official public introduction of the Chamber to business owners, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders across New York City.

About: the Chamber

Founded in November 2023, the NYCMSBCC was established to foster trade, commerce, and sustainable economic growth across all five boroughs, with an explicit mandate to empower Black-, Latino-, Asian-, immigrant-, women-, and veteran-owned small businesses. Operating across diverse sectors including technology, construction, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and professional services the Chamber serves as a central hub for business development, legislative advocacy, technical assistance, and corporate procurement pipelines.

Leadership & Vision

The Chamber is led by Phil Andrews, a nationally recognized advocate for economic mobility and small business development. Raised in Brooklyn, Andrews brings deep roots in community building alongside an extensive leadership record, including his roles as President of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce (LIAACC), Founding President of the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, and former recipient of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2019 Small Business Champion Award for the Metro New York District.
