LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — March 18, 2026 — Phil Andrews, President of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LIAACC), continues to expand his regional and national impact through his leadership of multiple organizations advancing economic empowerment, mentorship, and community development across New York State.

Under Andrews’ leadership, LIAACC has grown to more than 500 members, solidifying its position as New York State’s largest African American chamber of commerce. The organization has become widely recognized for its signature initiatives, including the Annual Black History Month Program, Women Who Shine Awards, Small Business Bootcamp, and the Who’s Who One Night Only Benefit Gala.

In addition to his work with LIAACC, Andrews is the founding President of the African American Small Business Foundation, Inc., established to increase the capacity of minority- and women-owned businesses. Through targeted programming focused on access to capital, business education, technical assistance, and workforce development, the foundation continues to expand opportunities for underserved entrepreneurs and strengthen economic ecosystems across the region.

Further extending his impact, Andrews serves as the founding President of the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc., a newly established chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. The organization is dedicated to mentoring, education, health and wellness, and economic empowerment through its nationally recognized “Four For The Future”® model. Since its formation, the chapter has quickly gained regional and national attention for its work developing future leaders and strengthening communities.

Most recently, Andrews and the organization were featured in regional and national media coverage surrounding the 2026 Homegrown Heroes of Long Island celebration, highlighting their role in advancing collaboration, leadership, and community engagement.

“Leadership is about creating pathways and building systems that allow others to succeed,” Andrews said. “Through our collective work, we are not only supporting businesses and mentoring youth, but we are building sustainable communities for generations to come.”

Andrews brings more than 25 years of leadership experience with the 100 Black Men of Long Island, Inc., where he previously served as President and led impactful mentoring initiatives that contributed to increased academic achievement and successful placements into prestigious institutions, including the United States Military Academy at West Point.

As President-Emeritus of the Black Public Relations Society of New York (BPRS-NY), Andrews has leveraged strategic communications to elevate underserved communities and expand visibility for critical issues impacting minority populations.

His work has been featured in major media outlets including Newsday, Long Island Business News, The Network Journal, Amsterdam News, Huffington Post, NBC’s Positively Black, and WABC’s Here and Now. He has also been recognized in Who’s Who in Black America and the International Who’s Who, and profiled in “15 Years of Minority Business Development.”

Profiled six times in the City & State Magazine Top 100 Powerful List Long Islanders and named to the Top List of Powerful Long Islanders by the Long Island Business News, Andrews was named the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2019 Small Business Champion for Downstate New York, representing 14 counties.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, his advocacy helped businesses across the region and nation successfully secure critical PPP and EIDL funding, reinforcing his role as a trusted voice in small business policy and recovery.

Andrews currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Interfaith Nutrition Network and the Long Island Association, continuing his commitment to advancing economic equity, strengthening communities, and empowering future generations.
