Affordable Housing Lottery Opens For Astoria Development

Eligible New Yorkers have until to Sept. 30 to apply.

QUEENS, NY — Two affordable one-bedroom apartments are available at 3438 30th Street, located at 34-38 30th Street in Astoria, through New York City’s affordable housing program.

The apartments are designated for households earning 130% of the Area Median Income (AMI) and are offered at a monthly rent of $2,850. Eligible households of one to three people must have annual incomes ranging from $106,560 to $198,510, depending on household size. The maximum asset limit is $220,480.

Residents will be responsible for gas, electricity and cable/internet costs. Building amenities include a shared laundry room with mobile payment, free storage lockers and free onsite bike storage. Additional features include high-end kitchen appliances, air conditioning, patios or balconies, hardwood floors, security cameras, an intercom system and smoke-free living.

The building benefits from a 421-a (16) tax abatement, a New York City property-tax incentive associated with affordable housing.

The development is located within Queens Community Board 1.
