Blocktoberfest Returns To Long Island City This Weekend

QUEENS, NY — The annual Blocktoberfest, a fall festival celebrating New York City’s craft beer scene, will return to Culture Lab LIC in Long Island City this weekend.

Presented by the NYC Brewers Guild, the festival will feature more than 30 local breweries, live music, local food vendors and exclusively NYC-made craft beer.

First launched by the NYC Brewers Guild in 2014 as a street party in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, Blocktoberfest was created to highlight New York City’s brewing industry and local breweries.

This year’s outdoor festival will give attendees an opportunity to meet brewers from across the five boroughs in one location.

Each ticket includes a souvenir glass for unlimited beer sampling during the festival and to take home afterward.

Blocktoberfest also serves as an annual fundraiser for the NYC Brewers Guild, a nonprofit business association founded in 2012 to support the city’s brewing industry.

The festival is a 21-and-over event. Children and pets are not permitted, and outside alcohol is prohibited.
