A sinkhole north of Exit 6A in Lewisboro has blocked the left and center northbound lanes, according to officials.

LEWISBORO, NY — Drivers in Lewisboro are facing lane closures on I-684 northbound after a sinkhole was reported north of Exit 6A, near Goldens Bridge.

The closure is affecting the area near NY 22 and NY 138, at the northbound exit ramp, according to officials.

The left and center lanes of three northbound lanes are blocked at mile marker 20.6.

Traffic is reduced to one available northbound lane in that stretch of I-684. That could slow travel for drivers heading through Lewisboro and the Goldens Bridge area, especially near the exit ramp connection for NY 22 and NY 138.

The southbound left lane is blocked at the same mile marker.

Due to flooding, the Bronx River Parkway is closed from the Sprain Brook Parkway split in Yonkers to the Westchester County Center in White Plains. There is also flooding on the northbound BRP at Oak Street in Mount Vernon.

Grasslands Rd (Route 100c) is currently closed between Legion Drive and Virginia Rd. in Valhalla. The closure is due to a partial road collapse. NYS Department of Transportation and Con Edison on the scene to assess damage and start emergency repairs. (WCPD)

Motorists should use considerable caution on all roadways this evening due to flooding or ponding conditions in numerous locations in Westchester.
