Coney Island Students Receive School Clothes Through Clothing Drive: See Photos

BROOKLYN, NY — Students in Coney Island received new school clothes following a clothing drive held Thursday at NYCHA Surfside Gardens.

The event matched children with well-fitting, school-ready outfits ahead of the new school year.

Organized by HeartShare in partnership with law firm Sullivan Papain Block McManus Coffinas & Cannavo P.C., the drive supports students enrolled in HeartShare’s Cornerstone Program at Surfside Gardens.

The clothing drive is part of the program’s year-round offerings, which include STEM and art lessons, academic support and enrichment activities designed to help Coney Island students prepare for the school year and beyond.
