The Bushwick Film Festival (BFF) returns October 7–11, 2026 for its 19th edition, bringing five days of independent film and culture to venues across Brooklyn.
This year’s theme, Make Time For Your Dreams is a reminder that creative work requires intention, patience, and care. Dreams often grow after work, late at night, or between everyday responsibilities. This year we celebrate the courage to protect those moments and turn ideas into something real.
Festival highlights include a red-carpet opening night reception sponsored by Netflix; nearly 100 films and projects — spanning narrative, documentary, and animation shorts and feature-length films, plus an episodic showcase, a live podcast program, and a staged screenplay reading — presented in partnership with theater partners including Spectrum; creative panels; and special events including a "Made in New York" Industry Mixer presented in partnership with the Commissioner of the NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment. Other events include a festival-sponsored Trivia Night, Comedy Night, Happy Hours, and the awards ceremony.
