NYC Artists, Creatives, and Locals Invited to Free Community Art Meetups in Bushwick This Summer

Looking for a way to meet new people, discover local artists, or spend an afternoon creating something with your neighbors?

The Art Meetup is returning with its last 3 upcoming NYC community events: Saturday, July 11 and Saturday, August 1 at Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick, followed by a special Open Mic & Community Mixer at Lincoln Center on September 12.

The summer park meetups will bring together artists, vendors, performers, and community members for two free afternoons centered around creativity, connection, and public art. The September 12 event at Lincoln Center will continue that mission with an open mic and mixer inside one of New York City’s most iconic cultural spaces.

Founded by NYC-based community organizer Lailani Gibson, The Art Meetup was created to help address a growing feeling many New Yorkers share: wanting to get out of the house and meet people, but not knowing where to start.
