New Yorkers do not need industry connections, large audiences, or formal representation to become part of the city’s creative community.

The Art Meetup is inviting independent artists, small business owners, creatives, neighbors, and anyone seeking meaningful connection to join the final two gatherings of its 2026 summer series.

The next event takes place Saturday, July 11 from 3–7 PM at Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick, followed by the final summer gathering on August 1.

The free and low-cost donation-based series was created to give local artists and entrepreneurs greater access to visibility, customers, collaborators, and community without the financial barriers common at many New York events.

Independent vendors can participate for free, keep 100% of their sales, test ideas, meet potential customers, and introduce their work to new audiences.

Attendees can discover emerging artists, shop directly from small businesses, participate in creative programming, meet new people, and become part of a community still actively growing.

Free registration is limited. Once it reaches capacity, remaining admission will be available through an affordable donation that supports permits, supplies, programming, equipment, giveaways, and event production.

This is one of the final opportunities to experience the 2026 summer series.

This is more than an invitation to attend an event. It is an invitation to join the community being built around it.
