For anyone who believes artists, neighbors, and small businesses deserve more spaces to gather, connect, and be supported in real life.

We are officially 10 days away from The Art Meetup at Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick.

On Saturday, July 11 from 3–7 PM, we’re meeting at Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick for an outdoor community art day made with a lot of love, care, and hope for this city.

Come spend the afternoon surrounded by local artists, vendors, creative workshops, giveaways, music, public art, and people who are open to real connection.

I created this because I know how lonely New York can feel sometimes, even when we are surrounded by millions of people. The Art Meetup is a place to come outside, breathe a little, meet kind people, support local artists, and remember that community is still here when we choose to build it together.

What to expect

  • Local artists and vendors
  • Creative workshops
  • Community activities
  • Music and public art

Special giveaway for the first 100 guests with an RSVP

Want to volunteer instead of donating?

This event is low-cost and donation-supported because it is not free to produce.

Your $5, $10, or $20 donation helps cover:

  • Permits
  • Community activities
  • Equipment
  • The labor it takes to keep this space accessible
  • Giveaways
  • Program supplies
  • Transportation
  • Storage
  • Signage and printing
  • The labor it takes to keep this space accessible

Right now, The Art Meetup is funded by my personal time, resources, and community care.

Every RSVP helps me plan. Every share helps someone find us. Every donation helps keep the space alive.

I can’t wait to see and meet you in the park.

With love,

Lailani Gibson
