Motorcyclist, 19, Dies In Moriches Crash: Police
He collided with a pickup truck, police say.
MORICHES, NY — A 19-year-old motorcyclist died in a Moriches crash Tuesday afternoon, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place on Montauk Highway at James Hawkins Road at 12:42 p.m.
Charles Carrano, of Center Moriches, was driving a 2006 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Montauk highway when he struck a 2014 Ram 1500 pickup truck in the intersection at James Hawkins Road, police said.

Carrano was pronounced at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.
The driver of the Ram, 27, of East Moriches, was not injured, police said.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check, police said.
