The tour includes tastings and shopping at two North Fork wineries, a sit-down luncheon at a North Fork restaurant and a visit to Briermere Farms. Guests will travel by deluxe motorcoach with a professional tour manager throughout the day.
Participants can choose to board at either the Suffolk Y JCC in Commack or North Shore Synagogue in Port Jefferson.

Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 Links to Legacy program at the Suffolk Y JCC. Designed for students entering grades 10–12, this unique leadership and Holocaust education initiative gives participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding of history through meaningful educational experiences, survivor and descendant connections, and community engagement.
Students in the program will explore the lessons of the Holocaust while developing leadership skills and helping ensure these important stories continue to be shared with future generations.
Applications are due Monday, September 14, 2026.

Young performers in kindergarten and first grade are invited to take the stage this fall at Stage 74 at the Suffolk Y JCC with Cabaret Kids, a 12-session performing arts program designed to help children explore their creativity and build confidence.
The program gives every young performer the opportunity to feel valued on stage while exploring their individual potential. Working with their director, each performer will choose a song to sing and write a monologue. The program culminates in a cabaret-style showcase where every participant performs at least one solo, along with group numbers featuring a live accompanist.
The Kindergarten–Grade 1 program is taught by Gayle Gitlitz, with Sid Cherry serving as musical director.

High school students in grades 10–12 are invited to participate in Links 2 Legacy, a unique opportunity to meet local Holocaust survivors, hear their firsthand stories, and help preserve their experiences through documentary storytelling.
Through this meaningful program, participating students will have the opportunity to connect with Holocaust survivors and create a documentary about their lives. The experience provides students with a chance to build personal connections across generations while helping ensure these important stories and memories are documented and shared for future generations.
Students in grades 10–12 who are interested in participating are encouraged to learn more about the program and apply online.

Active adults ages 55+ are invited to enjoy a three-day, two-night High Holiday Retreat to the Berkshires from September 15–17, 2026.
Hosted at Berkshire Hills Eisenberg Camp in Copake, New York, this unique getaway combines relaxation, recreation, and meaningful High Holiday experiences. This three-day, two-night getaway offers an opportunity to relax, connect with others, and celebrate the High Holiday season in a beautiful camp setting. Participants can enjoy a variety of activities, including pickleball, tennis, kayaking, canoeing, fitness classes, yoga, meditation, music programs, book discussions, campfires, and evening entertainment.
Roundtrip transportation from the Suffolk Y JCC is included, along with accommodations featuring air conditioning and private bathrooms.

Little athletes can get moving and learn the fundamentals of basketball this fall with Lil’ Dunkers, a fun and engaging program from Premier Basketball NY at the Suffolk Y JCC in Commack.
Designed for children in Pre-K through first grade, approximately ages 4–7, Lil’ Dunkers introduces young players to the basic fundamentals of basketball through innovative drills, competitive games, and fun contests. The program focuses on building skills and confidence while creating a positive and enjoyable environment for young players to learn the game.
Participants will work on essential basketball skills including ball handling, form shooting, proper footwork, passing, and more. Small group sizes also allow for individual attention throughout the program.
The Fall 2026 session includes eight classes held on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., beginning September 15 and continuing through November 3.

The Jay Heritage Center in Rye, New York will celebrate America at 250 with a toast to Jay Medal honorees Pulitzer Prize-winning author Annette Gordon-Reed, the Carl M. Loeb University Professor at Harvard University and award-winning Lincoln historian Harold Holzer.
The Jay Medal for Service was created in 2012 to recognize individuals who demonstrate a selfless spirit of commitment to and engagement with their community mirroring the multifaceted contributions of John Jay and his descendants. These honorees have demonstrated through their life's work that our shared narratives as a country, complicated as they are, can be better illuminated through the highest caliber of ongoing scholarship and advocacy. Honorees are selected for their excellence in the fields of American history, environmental stewardship, social justice or civic engagement.
Joining the celebration will be Chief Judge of the State of New York and the New York Court of Appeals, Honorable Rowan D. Wilson and historian and philanthropist Elihu Rose who will present the awards at JHC's annual Soirée. Special guests will include David Blight, Frank Cogliano, Joanne Freeman, and Beverly Gage.

The Jay Medal Soirée will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the Jay Estate from 5:30-9:30pm. Cocktails, dinner, award ceremony and dancing. Cocktail Attire.
