First NY STRONG Pilates Studio Celebrates 1 Year In Commack
The Commack studio celebrated its first year with high-energy classes, a Chamber ribbon cutting and local Long Island vendors.

COMMACK, NY — STRONG Pilates Commack celebrated its one-year anniversary Sunday with high-energy classes, a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Commack Chamber of Commerce and a lineup of local Long Island vendors.
The celebration marked a milestone for the studio, which opened in 2025 as the first STRONG Pilates location in New York.
The Commack studio, located at 6506 Jericho Turnpike, blends Pilates, cardio and strength training through 45-minute classes built around the Rowformer, a machine that combines rowing with a Pilates reformer system.

“Our first year has been nothing short of incredible,” said Michael Caputo, co-owner of STRONG Pilates Commack. “Launching the first STRONG Pilates studio in New York came with excitement and plenty of unknowns, but the response from the Long Island community has exceeded anything we imagined.”

Co-owner Beverly Bono said the anniversary was not only a celebration of the business, but also of the members who have helped shape the studio’s culture.
“We've welcomed members of every fitness level, celebrated countless personal milestones and watched genuine connections form both inside and outside the studio,” Bono said. “While we're proud of how much we've grown, what means the most is hearing how STRONG Pilates Commack has become part of our members' everyday lives.”
Since opening, STRONG Pilates Commack has focused on combining high-intensity, low-impact workouts with community events and partnerships with local businesses.
Sunday’s anniversary brought together fitness, wellness, food, shopping and local vendors under one celebration.
“Knowing we've created a space where people feel supported, challenged and excited to come back each week is the greatest accomplishment we could have asked for,” Bono said.
The owners said they plan to keep growing while staying focused on the community-centered atmosphere that helped define the studio’s first year.
“The momentum we've built over the past year has shown us what's possible,” Caputo and Bono said in a joint statement. “As we look to the future, our vision is even bigger. We want STRONG Pilates Commack to continue setting a new standard for community-driven fitness by investing in our instructors and members, creating meaningful experiences and collaborating with local businesses.”
