COMMACK, NY — Superheroes, storybook characters and a 1950s diner crew took over Gurwin Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as 100 residents and staff gathered for the facility's third annual Spooky Costume Parade on Oct. 28.

Hosted by Gurwin's Therapeutic Recreation Department, the Halloween celebration brought staff from across the facility together for a costume parade in the Simon Rainbow Room, where residents cheered on their caregivers and judged the costumes.

Minnie Mouse kicked off the parade, followed by the Dietary Department, whose staff dressed as a 1950s diner crew. The Human Resources team transformed into a Dunkin' drive-thru, while Social Work brought Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to life.
