The Town of Smithtown Residential Repair Program for Seniors Aged 60 yrs and older
A program funded by the NYS and Suffolk County Depts of Aging for senior citizens within the town offers assistance by
trained diligent specialists with no charge for labor. Parts must be provided or the town employees will purchase them and you then reimburse them. The work offered under the program includes the following:
- repair leaky faucets and running toilets, leaking drains
- install locks and make adjustments on doors
- replace light fixtures
- change hard-to-reach light bulbs
- install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
