75 New Apartments Planned For Flatbush

FLATBUSH— Permits have been filed for a 10-story residential building on Bedford Avenue in Flatbush, adding 75 apartments to a site now occupied by a two-story warehouse.

The 94-foot-tall building at 2564 Bedford Avenue, between Clarendon Road and Avenue D, will span 45,760 square feet, according to the application filed with the New York City Department of Buildings.

The project also includes a 20-foot rear yard.

The development will replace a two-story warehouse built in 1933, which once housed Big Daddy Appliance.

The 14,950-square-foot property currently contains about 20,500 square feet of industrial space.

The Department of Buildings has not yet assigned the application to a plan examiner.

No demolition permit has been filed for the warehouse.

2564 Bedford Partners LLC bought the property in November 2012 for $1.1 million from the Chik Group.

If approved and built as filed, the project would bring 75 new homes to the Bedford Avenue site.
