Multiple Wanted In Criminal Mischief Case At Former Dowling Campus In Oakdale: Police

Property at Idle Hour Boulevard was damaged early Jan. 19, police say.

OAKDALE, NY — Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate several people accused of damaging property in Oakdale earlier this month.

According to the Suffolk County Police Department, at least 5 people damaged windows, walls, and items inside a building at 150 Idle Hour Blvd. at approximately 1 a.m. on Jan. 19.

The property, at 150 Idle Hour Blvd., is the former Vanderbilt mansion Idle Hour and the one-time Dowling Campus. The property is owned by Mercury International, LLC.

Police said the incident is being investigated by the Fifth Precinct Crime Section.
