What the 2016 Farmer's Almanac says about East End Weather

I used to love buying the Farmer's Almanac way before the internet.

Let’s face it most of us can’t wait for spring and summer to arrive! Since I sail a lot I was wondering what kind of weather we willΒ have this spring and summer, so I researched the Farmers Almanac. I remember pre-internet when I would buy one at the checkout of the supermarket. I loved the old time printing style that goes back to Ben Franklin days in this country. Here is what the Farmer's Almanac says about the east end of Long Island.

β€œApril and May will be slightly cooler than normal, with rainfall generally below normal.

Summer will be hotter and rainier than normal, with the hottest periods in late June, mid-July, and early and late August. The greatest tropical storm and hurricane threat is from early August to mid-September.
