East Meadow School District Welcomes New Teachers

EAST MEADOW, NY — The East Meadow School District has welcomed new educators for the 2026-2027 school year.

The district held its annual New Teacher Orientation program on Aug. 26 and Aug. 27. During the two-day program, new staff members had the chance to meet one another and learn more about the district.

Superintendent of Schools Kenneth Rosner introduced himself to the new educators and welcomed them to the district.

Assistant Superintendent for Personnel and Administration Anthony Russo shared an overview of district policies and resources to better prepare the new staff for the upcoming year.

Teachers were welcomed on an annual bus tour that visited all nine district buildings to familiarize themselves with the community. During the tour, Director of Music and Art Kelly Nixon and Director of Literacy and Funded Programs Frank Lukasik shared highlights about each building and location along the route.
