At the center of the story is Melissa Aguanno, a Long Island criminal defense attorney and founder of her own law practice. In the courtroom, she advocates tirelessly for her clients. At home, she assumes an equally demanding role as Jayden's mother, teacher, advocate, and full-time caregiver. The film reveals the emotional and physical realities of balancing a demanding legal career while providing around-the-clock care for a child with profound autism.
