Pedestrian Killed In East Farmingdale Crash Identified: Police
The crash took place at the intersection of Route 110 and Conklin Street on Aug. 29, police say.
EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — The pedestrian who was killed in an East Farmingdale crash on Aug. 29 has been identified as 43-year-old Meghann Jones, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, Jones was walking westbound across Route 110 at the intersection of Conklin Street when she was struck by a 2011 Hyundai Sonata traveling southbound at about 8:30 p.m.
She was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 30-year-old Farmingdale man, was not injured, police said. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
